Work Week. Lakers vs.Heats

Three parties at work this week and it has not quite ended. One more tomorrow night and it is a restaurant buyout. Plus, I am working tomorrow. I still got to bake off 120 chocolate chip cookies and doe some lemon meringue tarts. So, this week also was filled with experiments, mostly failed ones, but I do not mind because I learn more that way... baisically changing the menu. First we changed the bread pudding served with caramel ice cream to pumpkin bread pudding served with cardamon ice cream. They absolutely work really well with each other. I tried the steam pudding, I mean I personally did not dig it and neither did my manager and chef. Which I was fine about. I never had it before and just wanted to try it, I guess it is one of those things that someone else has to make for me and I might like it, keyword here is might! Then I tried doing this fig dessert, it was ok, but the figs did not stand out the way I wanted them to. So two fails for desserts, what can I say, at least I tried! Oh and I was trying to do blood orange creme brulees, the first one came out to acidic and not set, I guess thats what I get for trying to rush it, this is where my patience runs thin for pastry. So I tried it again and I am still not sure how it turned out because I did not get a to plate it. Next week I got another dessert to try out and we shall see how it turns out. Yesterday we had a party and all I had was a cheese plate as shown above (from left to right): St. Andre Brie, Mangchego, and Fontina cheese served with grapes, blueberries, strawberries, pecans, walnuts and figs. We shall see how tomorrow goes!

Lakers vs. Miami Heats. I must say it is quite entertaining. I am kind of hoping SB12 will dunk on Wade for some reason. :-D It is halftime right now as I blog this and I love how Kobe makes what seems to be an impossible shot possible! Ok back to the game and I shall blog more then!
If you did not the second half of this game then you really missed what is called THE LAKE SHOW. The Heats put up a heck of the fight! L.O. was ejected out of the game after picking up his second technical after having a little brawl with O'Neal. I must D.Wade played a pretty good game tonight, but I was glad when he missed one of his foul shots in the end. Who else could have won this game with Fisher's ever so famous clutch shot followed by Kobe with another ridiculous three point buzz winning shot! I hopped off the bed and screamed for it! I must admit I felt the win when Fish made that 3 pointer. Here's the amazing shot Kobe made!
I'll post up another link for highlights when I get them! Until then goodnight!
Eat well!
Sport it well!
