New Dessert Plan. Lakers. FriendTreat Menu Planning. Saints. Pictures.

OK so for work I have been racking my brain to come up with new desserts. So this sentence is a tease because I will not put anything up until it is approved! :-D All I can tell you is that I want it to involve pumpkin, figs, and pecans, but not together!

Lakers won over the New Orleans Hornets tonight, 110-99. It was not as exciting as the past couple of games, but a good game overall. They started off a little slower and did not really pick up until the second quarter. In the end the Hornets were trying to prevent Laker fans from getting free tacos by TRYING to score over a hundred but was denied in the in by Mr. Jordan Farmar himself. Their next game this Friday @ Home against the Miami Heats. BRING IT ON!

So my friends and I are planning a trip to the mountains for a FriendTreat... Friend Retreat. :-D What's on the menu you ask? Lemon/garlic/herbed turkey (yes I know I made it with my family, but I want to perfect it) with a gravy (I will just be going along with what I have), Roasted Butternut Squash Soup with creme fraiche and some crispy bacon (I would do pancetta but we are on a budget), a regular cheesecake, and a spiced cheesecake. My other friend will be making a mac and cheese with truffle oil. Sounds good to me! Ok time to sleep!

Monday night football was yesterday. The Saints won! It was awesome watching the Saints beat the Patriots. Brady looked like he needed a box of tissues by the time the game ended. I think I see a Chargers/Saints Super Bowl in the near future! :-D

From the top: Lemon/Garlic/Herbed Turkey; Chocolate Souffle; one out of two trays of chocolate covered strawberries; pasta zuppa toscana served with a belgian peach beer; shrimp ceviche

Eat well!
Sport it well!
