Everything for the Past Two Weeks

I know I have been due for a posting. Work really has been crazy and my internet has not be working as I would like it to work.
So I have had great eats and I can not remember them all. :-p But I do have my receipts to help jog my memory.
Well May 5th my cousin from Philly came to visit. We just wanted to hang and talk so we went the boba place, called I Love Boba, which was located in Little Tokoyo across the street from Miyako hotel. It was a nice place. It was open until late. I had an iced milk tea with boba and my cousin had the hot taro tea with boba. Mine was a little sweeter than I would have liked but it was still good.
The next day I hung out with my cousin, aunt and uncle at the Grove. We headed to the farmers market and although I have been there I had not eaten there until that day. For dinner we had Brazilian BBQ at the all you can eat place. I really enjoyed the garlic chicken, it was so awesome! The garlic beef was a little more done than I would like but flavorful. The plantains were good, fried yucca was ok, not exactly my cup of tea, salad was a little wilted from sitting there most of the day, but I have had better. For dessert we all shared a couple slices of coconut custard pie. I did not enjoy it all. When I heard that was there I thought of buko pie from the Philippines. Fresh young coconut in an awesome custard and just melting in your mouth. This pie had shredded coconut which I did not care for at all and the custard was super eggs, I am not very partial to sweet eggs. So whoever did the custard obviously cooked it too fast on high it. Gross!
Later me and my cousin decided to go have a drink and we found a place in Little Tokoyo in the Japanese Village Plaza called, Yahura Ichiban. We walked in just in time for happy hour! :-D my cousin wanted to try sweet sake so we got a small bottle for 10 bucks. It was a nice deal, the Laker game was on and made it even better. I had a midori sour and we also ordered their fried chicken! It was soooo good I had to get another. It was so flavorful and moist I could not get enough of it.

More to come on the next post!
